^ yea I read the rules carefully and tried to "sneakily" and subtly work my way arround it I submitted 1 design as my primary choice (the Ivory Blade), and included some "options" showcasing other possible concepts..blahblah. If i get disqualified oh well, I had a great time with this project.
Anyway..might as well show you a few more. Keep in mind the names are made up by me, and therefore extremely dumb.

Nice stuff man. After seeing yours, I know my weak-ass submission didn't make the cut.

Nice sketches zidane. I specifically like that vampire moonblade and would enjoy seeing that on my warrior .

Another message from Gaile Gray:
"The winners of the Design-A-Weapon Contest will be announced on Thursday. Man, we had a lot of entries, and a lot of good entries, I have to say. It was a grueling experience, like one of those "All you can eat" buffets where you'd like to choose everything but have only so much capacity.
I think you'll love the winners, and I bet you'll be pleased to read about special considerations for the future, too. *adopts mysterious air*Look for the update afternoon/evening Pacific Time."
AND
"Let me be a little more detailed on that: We'll post this Thursday to show you the winning entries, with the names and locations of the winning artists/designers. (It's an international group, as you might expect.) So you'll be seeing the finalists -- the topmost winners -- this week, and those items will be included in Guild Wars: Factions upon release.
*adopts Ginzu Knife voice* But wait, there's more!
We had a lot of quality entries and a number of honorable mentions from that group. We'll provide information on those, and detail our plans for those -- a little "something extra" not originally mentioned -- in Thursday's update."

Personally I dislike most of the winners, they're too flashy and not close enough to the basics.. Zidane's concepts were much better.

The shield is utterly beautiful in my opinion I would definitely get one if I could afford it when the expansion comes out :d

The shield, I like. The sword winner just reminds me way too much of a fellblade. Indifferent about the others.

Dont get me wrong I like the winning picks It just bothers me to see that most of the "cool" weapons go to warriors. Some more unique staff, offhands, and wands would be nice granted I wouldnt mind running around with a little hay voodoo doll on my necro.

They all look pretty cool, I can't wait to see the runners up though. That shield looks awesome, I want one. It is a bit weird that they are all bone sort of designs....

I bet some of the runner up submissions are just as stunning as the winning entries, but the Anet staff had to make a decision sometime, and I think for the mostpart they chose judiciously. I wouldn't be surprized however to see some concepts from the runner ups appearing later on in the realease of Factions, as it is stated in the intro paragraph of the main site, so hopefully we'll see more focus type items.
